Jean-Ju did background briefing on two new exciting projects that the lab initiates!
Jae's abstract was selected for a podium short talk and a cash prize at 2018 KASBP (Korean American Society in Biotech and Pharmaceuticals) Spring Symposium held in Boston, MA.
It is the first data club by Huafeng! Nice debut, Huafeng!
We hosted our 2nd annual Reproductive Physiology Club, an outreach program under Yale Pathways to Science. It was full of hands-on activity with local high school students together with Shannon Whirledge at Ob/Gyn again. Kids had fun looking at reproductive tracts, live sperm and eggs under microscope. Taking a look at human placenta was a big hit! Thank you for your participation, Nancy, Jae, and Jong-Nam!
Jong-Nam's debut talk in the lab meeting. We'll learn about his research background.
It is Manavi's first Data Club! We'll peek into what's most recent achievement in Bae lab. We also officially welcomed Jong-Nam and his B-day in time!
We welcome Jong-Nam in Chung lab. Jong-Nam proudly earned Study Abroad Fellowship by Seoul National University to join us!
The laboratory of Jean-Ju L. Chung, PhD, in the Department of Cellular & Molecular Physiology at Yale School of Medicine is seeking postdoctoral candidates in reproductive immunology research in the areas of sperm physiology and fertilization studies.
Research Interest. The major focus of the lab is to understand cellular signaling via membrane receptors and ion channels in sperm physiology and fertilization under normal and pathophysiological conditions. For this position, there is a particular focus on reproductive immunity and evaluating new contraceptives that we develop in collaboration with a protein engineering laboratory.
Minimum Qualification. Self-driven and highly motivated PhD (or PhD candidate) with an inquisitive nature and a quantitative mind, a working understanding of basic techniques in immunology and biochemistry, and a record of productive research with at least one peer-reviewed 1st author publication during PhD.
Preferred Qualification. Ideal candidates would have a strong background on immunology, virology, or reproductive biology or a strong interest in discovering antibody candidates for developing novel contraceptives and experience in mice handling, breeding, genotyping, immune response analysis.
To apply, please send me (1) Cover letter that describes what you did, and your motivation to apply, (2) CV, and (3) 2-3 names of references to Jean-Ju Chung at jean-ju.chung (at) yale.edu

Chung Lab and Lesch Lab meet and talk about a paper of interest once a month!
PI talks! (part II) Jean-Ju talks about her research direction...
PI talks! (Part I) Byoung-Il talks his research direction.
Manavi's turn to do a journal club! We also celebrated Huafeng's B-day (belated). Welcome to the lab and happy birthday, Huafeng!
Chung and Lesch labs are excited to announce that we hold a monthly joint journal/data club, a.k.a., Male Germ Cell Club at Yale! We're meeting for the first time on 2/23.
Happy Valentine! Komal will do a journal club.
From last September, Jean-Ju had run the inaugural Career Seminar series for Department fellows :) Thank you all for the great turnouts and good feedbacks.
Huafeng gives his debut talk in our joint meeting and will talk about his previous research.
